The lake above the cricket field has stopped feeding the stream across the field

After a couple of months of a river running across the cricket ground, the flow has subsided and the field is clear of water.  The trail of the stream has been left behind and the net needs a good sweep.  The groundsman plans to get the bag of top soil on to the square several months after his plan.  He believes the “damp” conditions will assist with rolling it back into to shape before the first game in April.
