The players wear coloured strip and even the balls this year will be coloured orange and
yellow!, is non-stop, with 12 games in the league stage followed by knock-out semi-
finals and the grand final at 6.30 pm. All matches are of 5 overs a side – one bowled
by each of the fielders. Last year well over 1200 runs were scored!
Entrance is FREE and attractions at the Recreation Ground include a beer tent, hog
roast, tea and cakes, children’s play area and free parking. The 6s are a key part of
the annual weekend long Flower Pots Beer Festival, conveniently located opposite the
ground, where 30 plus real ales, live music, all day BBQ, and curry tent.
So why not come and join in the fun and keep the whole family entertained!
Again this year there is a BBQ/Hog Roast provided for all players and of course also for
supporters and spectators. There is a Beer Tent (to save you the walk across the
Pots) and tea and cakes will be served in the clubhouse at various times during the day.
For families with young children, please note that there is a playground on site and that
there is nearly continuous cricket! Please keep an eye on your children, so that they
do not interfere with play or endanger themselves.
